    In 1999, ToppsŪ and Bill Goff Inc artists joined creative forces and recreated the style of the 1953 baseball cards. Overall, 19 current stars were depicted in the heralded series with 8 of the images developed into lithographs.
The modern day iron man, Cal Ripken Jr., shattered Lou Gehrig's consecutive game streak by playing in 2,632 games. Ripken also had a streak of playing in 8,243 innings. Rookie of the year in 1982, twice an MVP, Ripken also has played in 16 All-Star Game contests.
