    It's June 1, 1975, in Southern California, a sensational Sunday afternoon, and 28-year-old Angels right hander Nolan Ryan is about to freeze Oriole Bobby Grich with an unhittable changeup to secure the fourth no-hitter and 100th victory of his illustrious career. Anaheim Stadium still exists in its original form, with palm trees dotting the open landscape beyond the outfield wall and the Big A scoreboard dominating in left.
Ryan's fourth no-hitter ties Sandy Koufax's major league record. All four of Ryan's have come as an Angel, and this is his second at Anaheim Stadium. He has walked four in the game, and Grich is his ninth strikeout victim. Ellie Rodriguez (C), Bruce Bochte (1B), Jerry Remy (2B), Billy Smith (SS), Dave Chalk (3B), Morris Nettles (LF), Mickey Rivers (CF) and Lee Stanton (RF) are the other Angels in the field. Hank Morganweck is the home plate umpire about to punch out Grich.
