Bill Mazeroski of the Pittsburgh Pirates was one of the best defensive second baseman in MLB history. Over the course of his career, the 2001 Hall of Fame inductee compiled a lifetime .983 fielding percentage, was a 10-time National League All-Star, and led the league in assists nine times, fielding percentage three times, and double plays eight times. A consistent batter, "Maz" stroked 2,016 career regular-season hits. However, he is most famous for the home run he crushed on October 13, 1960, a bottom-of-the-ninth, walk-off Game Six shot off the New York Yankees' Ralph Terry that gave the Pirates the World Championship.
