This photograph is absolutely incredible. The date was September 8, 1990. The Texas Rangers' Nolan Ryan faced batter Bo Jackson and Jackson smashed a line drive that caught Ryan square in the mouth. Against the protests of the Rangers' trainers and managers, Ryan refused to leave the game. The warrior he was, he stayed in the game.
