Oliver Perez pitched for the San Diego Padres and Pittsburgh Pirates before joining the New York Mets late in the 2006 season. Perez pitched reasonably well during the Mets' pennant run, but he really made his mark in the playoffs, when he won Game Four of the NLCS and fired off six innings of four-hit, one run ball in Game Seven. Perez is a solid starter for the Mets who always gives them a chance at a W when he is on the mound.
