  • "Scooter Turning Two" Limited Edition Artist Signed and Numbered Lithograph
  • A great item for any collector and an excellent way to display your team spirit around the home or office!
He was a Yankee from 1941-1956 (with three years off for World War II). He played in nine World Series, seven of which the Yankees won. He was the American League's Most Valuable Player in 1950, when he batted a career-high .324 with 200 hits, 91 walks and 125 runs scored to fuel a Yankee team that won 98 games and went on to sweep the Philadelphia Phillies in the World Series. Shortstop Philip Fancis (Scooter) Rizzuto was a Yankee institution. When he succeed Frank Crosetti as the everyday shortstop in 1941, Rizzuto joined a Yankee team that featured legends like Joe Gordon, Joe DiMaggio, Bill Dickey and Red Ruffing. In 1956, Rizzuto's final season, his teammates included Billy Martin, Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra and Whitey Ford. Here, Rizzuto scales Bobby Avila of the Indians to turn two during a 1951 game at Yankee Stadium. If you're wondering about the light-colored button on top of Rizzuto's cap, it's the Scooter's bubble gum. He stored it there from time to time.
