"The ballpark in San Diego, once known as Jack Murphy Stadium and later named Qualcomm Stadium, was Tony Gwynn's personal playground from 1982 to 2001. As a rookie in 1982, Gwynn batted a mere .289 in 190 at-bats. He didn't hit under .309 during the rest of his tenure and has gone on to claim the Padres' career records for runs scored, hits, doubles, triples, batting average and stolen bases. He led the National League in batting eight times. He led or shared the league lead in hits seven times, including 1997, when he collected a career-high 220 hits at the age of 37. A career .338 hitter, Gwynn hit an amazing .394 in 1994 and failed to hit under .353 from 1993 through 1997. Now, coming off a career that had been truly remarkable, Gwynn is poised to reach baseball's pinnacle, the Baseball Hall Of Fame. Here, Gwynn is ready to take a rip in a fantasy game based on 1993 reference material."
