For the first time the World Series champion resided outside the USA - landing Toronto!
This DVD includes the official films from both 1992 and 1993 - both Fall Classics ended in dramatic fashion.
Included in the 1993 Film is Joe Carter's history-making, game-ending, World Series-winning home run.
Approximate running time is 2 hours.
The 1992 World SeriesŪ was as historic as it was dramatic. The Blue Jays made their Fall ClassicŪ debut and it also included the first World Series game ever played outside the United States. The club did not stop with those distinctions. Toronto won three games in a row including two courageous, ninth-inning victories that set the tone for the clinching contest. Game 7 twisted fans through nine innings tight of one-run baseball. The game squeezed even harder as the Atlanta BravesŪ tied the score in the bottom of the ninth. In the suspenseful 11th inning the Blue Jays went ahead then held on for the remarkable victory. The home town team, the home country team, the Toronto Blue Jays were World Series Champions!
The only script that could top the 1992 extra-inning championship was the glorious sequel and six-game-theatre that unfolded in 1993. The series see-sawed between the Philadelphia PhilliesŪ and Blue Jays. It featured Game 4 when the Jays won 15-14 then reached its crescendo in Game 6. On October 23, 1993 Joe Carter ended the Fall Classic with only the second World Series-winning walk-off home run in the annals of Major League BaseballŪ. Carter danced across the base paths and shook to life the history books with his joyful, exhilarating game-winner.
