    Inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1997, Nellie Fox had a spectacular year in 1959, winning the AL MVP award. He led the league in singles (149), was 2nd in total hits (191) and doubles (34). In addition, he hit .306 and drove in 70 runs. The White Sox won the AL Pennant but lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series.
