Dwight Gooden, known to Mets fans as Doc or Dr. K, epitomized the "Gotta believe"' Mets in the mid- 80's. Throughout his career, Doc was a fearless pitcher who helped lead the Mets to a World Series Championship in 1986. He finished his career with the cross-town rival Yankees and with a .634 winning percentage and 2,293 strikeouts to his credit. And during the Yankees' magical 1996 season, Gooden pitched a no-hitter against the Mariners on May 14. The player who routinely hit 95 mph on the radar gun as a rookie in 1984 was back for one more fleeting, unforgettable moment.
