Roy White was, is and will always remain a favorite of New York Yankees fans. The outfielder made his MLB debut with the Yankees in 1965 and spent his entire 15-year-long career with the Bombers. Along the way, White helped lead the Yankees to World Series Championships in 1977 and 1978 and earned two trips to the All-Star Game. In 1975 he fielded 1.000, becoming the first Yankee ever to play an errorless season, and he had his best season with a bat in 1970, when he notched personal highs of 22 home runs, 109 runs scored, 94 RBI, and a .296 batting average. His best postseason came in 1978 when, just after having come off the disabled list, he hit .313 in the ALCS, with a game-winning sixth-inning home run in the clincher, and .333, with a home run and four RBI in the World Series. White later spent several years as part of the Yankees' coaching staff.
